Debra’s Dynamic Gallery
It might seem kind of complicated. It is, a little. But you set it all up once, and then it just runs. You decide how you want to display the thumbnails or album names. Your members can edit their entries without contacting you. And Flickr does all the work!
I thought this was a great solution for my client. So I did all the work to create this thing, because I thought I could convince them to go for it if they could actually see it in action. I don’t normally work this way, because I’m all about billable hours. But once I started working on it, I got pretty interested in seeing it through to the end for my own geeky satisfaction.
In the end, they decided not to go for it, because they want their site to be a “one stop” place for their users. They thought that asking them all to go set up Flickr accounts and remember more usernames and passwords was asking too much of them.
So, I came up with another great solution. See the article called EE Photo Contest. It was a big hit the second we launched it.
